  • Physically active kids are 40% more likely to have higher test scores.
  • Physically active kids are more likely to have reduced risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer and diabetes as adults.
  • Fewer than half of children ages 6 to 10 get at least 60 minutes of physical activity most days of the week.
  • Childhood obesity rates: currently one out of every three kids is considered overweight.
  • As overweight children age their bodies tend to want to hang on to the excess weight, causing them to remain obese despite diet & caloric restrictions.
A recent study of 13,000 young people found that, on average, obese teens consumed fewer calories than their friends who were slimmer. The lack of physical exercise in children is the main culprit in the startling rise of childhood obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and all other types of preventable medical conditions.

The message for parents is: Don’t assume that a child who’s overweight is overeating; it is more likely that your child is not getting enough exercise. 

Obesity isn’t just a simple matter of eating more. If your child is carrying around too much weight the best thing you can do is to encourage some form of physical activity and/or exercise for your child.

It is obvious to me that while the food industry has taken the heat as the major ‘cause’ of childhood obesity, we have known that inactivity is a bigger issue. Look at our society. We have become so sedentary with hours and hours sitting in front of a computer or TV. We don’t climb stairs anymore. We take our children everywhere in a car, instead of walking or riding a bike. Children just don’t go outside and play.
We need to get our children active, moving and fit. 
I am a father too. I get it, in these modern times TV, video games and cell phones grab most of our kids’ attention. However, It is every parent’s responsibility to take their kids’ health into their own hands and set a good example for a healthy lifestyle. So I created the HDT Youth Fitness program to help you.

The way your child was meant to move including squatting, jumping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing and more. These are the most fundamental movements for coordination, athletic performance and health. You’ll be amazed at the difference you’ll see in your child after they master these movements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Time are The Sessions?
Our Youth Fitness Program is offered three days a week : Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 3:30pm and 4:30pm. Each session is approx 45 minutes long.
What ages is the program?
We start the program at 6 years old and go all the way up to 11 years old! The program is perfect for the kid who is just trying to get active, or wants the competitive sports performance edge.
Do I have to supervise my youth?
You are not required to be present for the session but due to our insurance you cannot drop your child off more then 10 Mins Prior To each session. 
How much does it cost?
The One Day Pass is FREE. It's our way of letting you try before you buy. We offer affordable programs.
